Cooking Hot Hot Hot...

Okay when I was making dinner tonight ~and I shouldn't tell you this but I was wearing my towel because it gym night and I need shower and I needed to eat so anyways I was cooking while wearing cotton.
Cotton on fire has a very distinctive smell ~yeah I caught my self on fire while stirring the pot tonight ~so exciting!
No worries though I kept the towel on ~I don't put on those kind of shows ~at least I don't blog about it.

This brings back unfortunate memories of standing too close to the burner while wearing a billowy shirt. That was the last time I wore that shirt. I think I also caught a hot pad on fire once. Good times in the kitchen! I figure if you kept the towel on, then you must not have actually burned yourself. At least I hope not!

You're lucky cuz a "cotton burn" not only burns, duh, but it also leaves a nasty yellow-brown stain on you skin. And you don't want stained skin.

When I was a Welfare sister in Chile we were in charge of making the food for a Zone Conference. I still remember what a "lovely" scent favorite gray-wool-burning-skirt smells like...yeah, it was burning, but it was nothing like the spirit of God!!! Luckily we lived close to the Stake center, and I could go change before my problem, as it were, was exposed to the Elders. Thanks for bringing back memories. You make me snicker!!!! :)
